Vicky Jenkins is the epitome of the perfect school volunteer.  For the past seven years, she has volunteered countless hours at Bartow Elementary Academy, Union Academy and now at Bartow High School/Summerlin Academy.  She has been a part of the UA PTA and the SAC committee for the last three years and has attended every field trip and extracurricular activity with her sons.  If something needs to be done she is the person to turn to in order to accomplish the task.  Vicky has the innate gift of organizing events and going the extra mile to ensure each event is a success.  She has been the VP of Fundraising at Union Academy for the last two years and has been instrumental in the success of the UA Ranch Round Up Auction.  Vicky donated over 100 hours this year alone in the planning and implementation of the auction.  From soliciting and organizing donations to helping in the planning of the event, she was involved in every aspect.  Not only has Vicky volunteered her time with planning the auction, she has also gained the trust of the teachers at UA; many of them have turned to her for help with planning events or projects for their classrooms.  She has been the go to person in helping Mr. VanClief, the UA Chorus teacher, plan the chorus events and get donations for the Chorus department.  Vicky is one of the most dedicated volunteers around.  If you were to ask her she would say her inspiration is her two boys and making their educational experiences the best they can be.  Volunteering all these years is one way she feels she can have a hand in that experience.  The passion she has for volunteering is admirable and one to be emulated.  Union Academy is grateful for Vicky and her dedication to our school.
